Here's an Email and Picture from a member of the church living in Baton Rouge, Louisana:
"As the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Gustav approaches, the grocery stores are already empty. When our ward did our experiment of "no shopping" for a week, one family ran out of toilet paper the next day and had to go shopping. Another family ran out of toothpaste the next day and had to break the "no shopping" commitment. In a real scenario though its obviously too late. The storm is still 3 or 4 days out, but for some families here it looks like it is too late to get supplies from the store. Food for thought!"
If we had a disaster here in Prescott, the same thing would happen to our grocery store shelves!!!! So what are we doing to prevent this from happening to us????
